Clear Jelly Stamper Review Plus Giveaway!

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Welcome to the start of a new work week (for those of you who had a long weekend like I did).  I'm in love with the products I'm reviewing today from Clear Jelly Stamper but I'm mortified at how long it has taken me to get this post up.  I received these products earlier this summer but, with the potential of a Canada Post strike, I delayed myself in posting these since I was including a giveaway.  And then I forgot.  But I'm finally posting them today and, since I'm relatively sure there won't be a strike, I'm including a giveaway of three Clear Jelly Stamper plates.  When Debbie sent me The Big Bling stamper/brush and CJS-13, 14 and 15 she also included a few plates I already had (CJS-08, 10 and LC-01) so she said I could do a giveaway with them.  Entry information can be found at the bottom of this post.  It will be open until 11:59 pm next Monday so enter now.

There's quite a few products in this post so let's start with the Big Bling Stamper.  Clear Jelly Stamper was the first clear stamper on the market so it's no surprise that this new version is superb.  Not only is it beautiful, the stamping head measures 1.5 inches (~4 cm), is really squishy and picks up great with no priming required.  My favourite part about is is that it comes in 3 parts: the stamper with clear walls, a lid and a crystal-filled removable bottom.  The fact that the bottom is removable means that, when you want to use it there's nothing distorting the image or the distance perception but you can keep your stamper totally dust free.  It's really awesome.  There's also a clear scraper included in the box.  It's easy to miss so I thought I'd mention it here.

Next up is the Big Bling Brush.  It's a great clean up brush measuring 15 cm with 9 mm rounded bristles.  Like the stamper, it's gorgeous with its crystals and swirly silver printing.  For those of you who use gel, the website says it can be used as a #6 gel brush.  I don't know what that means but it sounds useful.

Next is a stamping plate pouch.  If you're like me, you have a billion plates of different sizes so it's nice when there's a holder that's specific for the plates you love.  The pouch measures 8.5 cm x 8.5 cm and holds these 6 cm square plates perfectly.  There's 12 slots that fan out from a button.  Each can be used double sided so one pouch can hold 24 plates.

And, finally, onto the plates.  I have 4 plates to review today.  Each measures 6 cm x 6 cm but the images are all different sizes.  I'll include a scan of each plate as well as a few words if I had issues before telling you how I did each mani.

I've seen plenty of calls for a layered plaid plate so here your wishes are answered.  The only issue I had with this plate was that the thickest pattern is hard to scrape without losing the inside of the image so you'll have to scrape light and at a shallow angle.

To use this plate I started with a white base of Ella + Mila Pure Love.  The double lines are stamped with Mundo de Unas Sky Blue and the broken lines are Mundo de Unas Red.  Straight lines are usually really hard to stamp but these ones are magic and came out pretty good if I do say so myself.

I love the swirl variety on this plate.  There's also a few small flowers and leaves to accentuate your swirls if you want.

To start I used a base of Femme Fatale Hourglass.  I shared a swatch of this on Instagram on Saturday - it's so pretty!  I then double stamped some of the swirls and dots with Mundo de Unas Black and White to get a shadow effect.  Even though I missed some spots the plate is forgiving enough that it still looks good.

This plate has more flower options than Floral Swirl #1 but still plenty of swirls. The swirls are more set but the area of swirls is big enough that not all your nails have to match.  It's pretty cool.

Again I started with a white base.  This one is pipe dream polish Whitewater.  I stamped the swirls with Mundo de Unas Bronze and then added the flowers with Sky Blue and Black.  The plate even has little flower centers that I stamped last but, in retrospect, I should have stamped them before the black.  I'll know better for next time.

Out of Africa is a plate dedicated to exotic wildlife.  Like with the plaid plaid, I had issues with the larger areas on this plate so it's a good idea to scrape light for the first layer of stamping.

The base of this one is a bit wild.  I started with a gradient of Picture Polish Sunflower and Salt Water.  I then sponged on some orange clouds with Sunset, Totes and Citrus.  The stamping was done with so many colors - Mundo de Unas White, Black, Brown, Caramel, Chocolate, Taupe, Light Grey, Dark Grey, Military Green, Pastel Yellow.  It was finished with KBShimmer Oh Matte!

Now that you've made it to the end of the post, here's the giveaway information.  It's international since plates shouldn't cause a postal issue but do remember that you'll need a clear stamper to use these plates properly.  Good luck!

'Til next time...
